This 1933 black&white offering features a female operetta-like chorus, a group of peaceful birds living an idyllic life, and a psychotic cat who drinks a Jekyll and Hyde-like potion in order to kill them. All does end happily, though. Bizarre. Produced through Educational Pictures.

I love Terrytoons and I love how detailed the cartoon is. It’s not like the cartoons today.

This was originally released in March 1933, when Terry was partnered with Frank Moser [which led to a bitter split in 1936], and had a distribution agreement with Educational Pictures {after Educational folded in 1937, Terry signed with 20th Century-Fox}.

It is great to see one these really old Terrytoons with the original main titles and credits.
