UPDATE: Sesame Workshop, proving just how awesome they really are, have allowed this video to stay. SESAME STREET RULES! ^_^

A classic video, with awesome music. I can’t believe YouTube took this down before… well guess what it’s BACK! Much kudos to Courtney from Myspace for having the video.

You had a 64 crayon pack back in the day??? I would have been so jealous back then. Childhood was awesome!

I don’t know the country of origin, but I do know that the American Nick Jr. also showed Sesame Street reruns. Also, your region uses PAL, and this video looks to be converted as NTSC to my eyes.

I think this is from Nick Jr. Australia. They used to show reruns of SS (I don’t know if they still do).

Nah, I believe everything in this is a synth of some sort, possibly a Minimoog, or a big ol’ modular.

What instrument is being used at the very beginning of the fast part? Is that some kind of Organ or Harpsichord?

the seniors must have been cheap labour in those days. they are the factory workers getting paid $5/day under the table to increase their living expenses so they dont have to claim it to the irs

This was always so soothing to watch as a kid for some reason. Thanks for posting this.

I always wondered why they picked a lame color like orange to use though lol.

BigChicken82 June 1, 2008 at 9:13 pm

Watching this now and as a kid I’ve always half expected Rodger Daltrey to bust out in song!

megarouge2001 June 2, 2008 at 7:02 am

I love how they pick up these gargantuan handfuls of crayons like it’s nothing.

brownsugah66 June 4, 2008 at 4:28 am

ha ha I remember this. Anything higher than a 24 pack was a luxury in those days…
