UPDATE: Sesame Workshop, proving just how awesome they really are, have allowed this video to stay. SESAME STREET RULES! ^_^
A classic video, with awesome music. I can’t believe YouTube took this down before… well guess what it’s BACK! Much kudos to Courtney from Myspace for having the video.

Wow, cant believe that I found this video. It’s been soooo long! Brings back good memories. Crayons rock! Thanks for posting!!!
this video makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside… makes me think i’m 5 years old again…
One of my favorite memories of Sesame Street. Thanks for posting!
I think I’ve just taken away your ability to comment on my videos. :3
i think the video should be updated to, show outsourced chinese or indian labourers doing this job
You had a 64 crayon pack back in the day??? I would have been so jealous back then. Childhood was awesome!
I don’t know the country of origin, but I do know that the American Nick Jr. also showed Sesame Street reruns. Also, your region uses PAL, and this video looks to be converted as NTSC to my eyes.
I think this is from Nick Jr. Australia. They used to show reruns of SS (I don’t know if they still do).
I feel I gonna buy some orange crayons….and a colouring book.
one of the best videos i’ve ever seen.
I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS EPISODE!!!!! I love this.
Nah, I believe everything in this is a synth of some sort, possibly a Minimoog, or a big ol’ modular.
I was sooo mesmorized by this when i was a little girl watching sesame in the 80’s…it’s so funny to watch it now. awesome.
What instrument is being used at the very beginning of the fast part? Is that some kind of Organ or Harpsichord?
I love this and i love the music they put with it. Brings back so much memories
OMG, this was always one of my favorite sequences on Sesame Street. The process always entranced me.
And orange rocks!
Oh heavens. This made me want to go out and work for crayola!
i completely agree
Oh my gosh! I remeber watching this when I was little and loving it! I love it still! Thanks!!
another great blast from the past..thanks for a great post!
the seniors must have been cheap labour in those days. they are the factory workers getting paid $5/day under the table to increase their living expenses so they dont have to claim it to the irs
This was always so soothing to watch as a kid for some reason. Thanks for posting this.
I always wondered why they picked a lame color like orange to use though lol.
Watching this now and as a kid I’ve always half expected Rodger Daltrey to bust out in song!
I love how they pick up these gargantuan handfuls of crayons like it’s nothing.
ha ha I remember this. Anything higher than a 24 pack was a luxury in those days…
